The series will kick off on Saturday August 7 at Eden Park in Auckland, with the decider slated for Sky Stadium in Wellington.

The final two games will also double as part of the Rugby Championship before four straight home Tests and South Africa and Argentina respectively.

Rugby Australia revealed that the world champion Springboks will travel to Suncorp Stadium on September 18 to face the Wallabies, with the rest of the venues yet to be confirmed.

Rugby Australia CEO Andy Marinos said: “For fans in Perth, it doesn’t get much bigger and better than a Bledisloe Cup Test on home soil and we can’t wait to get back to Western Australia this year, and the brilliant Optus Stadium.

“It was a spectacular night back in 2019 and the entire Rugby community in Perth is buzzing ahead of the game in August.

“Then we look forward to the visit of Rassie Erasmus and the world champion Springboks. They thrilled the world with their play in Japan two years ago and we look forward to seeing them battle it out with our Wallabies on the 18thof September at Suncorp Stadium. They will be arriving on our shores fresh from their Lions Tour, and we are excited to pit ourselves against them having missed that opportunity last year."

In a 2019 rematch, the Wallabies will call Optus Stadium home and continue their unbeaten streak in the west when they take on New Zealand in the 2021 Rugby Championship.

Perth’s Optus Stadium has been given the nod to host the second Test with teams returning to New Zealand for the decider a week later.

The news that the lone Bledisloe Test on Australian soil will head West delighted Western Australia’s Tourism Minister, David Templeman, hopeful of replicating the atmosphere and result from 2019.

"For fans of rugby union, it doesn’t get any better than Bledisloe. The 2019 game in Perth holds an attendance record for Optus Stadium that still stands today, so we know the value this event has in terms of its potential to attract visitors to WA and showcase our State’s attractions through TV broadcast," he added.

“For locals, it’s an incredible opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of this trans-Tasman rivalry, right here in their own backyard and I know it will bring people out in force.” Wallabies v All Blacks Bledisloe Cup 2021

This was shared by his Queensland counterpart Sterling Hinchliffe as they prepare to welcome South Africa back to Brisbane for the first time since 2018.

“This is a match-up of two Rugby greats that will attract a strong local and national audience,” Mr Hinchliffe said.

“We know world-class sporting events support local jobs and our economic recovery.

“In 2018 when the Springboks played the Wallabies at Suncorp Stadium, the game contributed $7 million to Brisbane’s visitor economy.  Wallabies v NZ Rugby Bledisloe Cup 2021 Live

History
The history of the Bledisloe Cup dates back to 1931, when New Zealand’s governor-general, Lord Bledisloe, donated the trophy for the two nations to compete for. New Zealand won the initial encounter in a 20-13 victory in Auckland, and it wasn’t until 1934 that Australia got their hands on the trophy.

While the Bledisloe Cup is now an annual instalment, it wasn’t until 1982 that the two countries agreed to contest the trophy on a yearly basis. The arrival of the Tri-Nations tournament ensured the Wallabies and All Blacks would face off at least twice a year – the series had previously varied anywhere between one and five matches long. Bledisloe Cup dates confirmed as part of bumper Rugby Championship 2021 schedule

Australia and New Zealand will renew their storied rivalry in August, as part of SANZAAR's announcement of The Rugby Championship (TRC) schedule for 2021.

As part of the 12-match tournament between Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina later this year, the All Blacks and Wallabies will square off in two blockbuster clashes. How to Watch Wallabies Rugby

Australia will host the first match on Saturday 21st August, before the return fixture a week later across the ditch.

Reigning world champions South Africa will return to the TRC this year after missing the 2020 tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while Argentina will again play all their games away from home.

SANZAAR CEO Brendan Morris said it was exciting to welcome back the Springboks and said they had worked tirelessly to make this a safe environment for players and officials.

“We have worked tirelessly with the National Unions through the continued difficulties associated with the pandemic. This includes ongoing international border travel restrictions, quarantine protocols and player welfare concerns," he said.

"Therefore, we have been unable to roll out the previously agreed mini-tour format as we simply cannot play matches in Argentina at present due to the impact of the pandemic.“

“Nonetheless, the exciting news is that we do welcome back South Africa to The Rugby Championship after a difficult 2020 when the pandemic made it impossible for them to participate.

"The Springboks are the reigning World Champions and it will be fantastic for rugby fans to see them play once again in this prestigious tournament.”

“Like last year the Pumas will play all their matches away from home and we thank them once again for their understanding in this regard.

"The Pumas beat New Zealand for the first time in their history in last year’s Tri-Nations and drew both matches with Australia indicating what a strong and robust squad they possess.”

“This year’s agreed 12-match tournament format will see two matches played in South Africa, five in Australia and five in New Zealand.

"The South Africa-based matches will see Argentina play South Africa twice before both teams head to Australia and New Zealand for the remainder of the tournament." Rugby Australia online tv

South Africa will host two matches against the Pumas to kick off the tournament, before five matches each in Australia and New Zealand.

Australia will take on the All Blacks to start the tournament, before two matches with the Springboks and rounding out the schedule against Argentina.
